The Clear Brook Wolverines fell victim to the Clear Springs Chargers''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 48-0 loss at the hands of the Chargers. While losing is never fun, Clear Brook can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 495th, while Clear Springs is ranked 118th).
Steven Craft rushed for 81 yards.
Clear Brook's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Clear Springs, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.
Clear Brook will head out on the road to face off against Dickinson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dickinson knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight games -- so hopefully Clear Brook likes a good challenge. Clear Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
