Monroe is 1-9 against the Parrots since February of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Monroe Vikings will look to defend their home court against the Poly Parrots at 7:30 p.m. Monroe is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
Last Monday, Monroe had to suffer through a rough 94-52 loss at the hands of the Dons. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Monroe in their matchups with the Dons: they've now lost nine in a row.
Meanwhile, Poly beat the Huskies 53-44 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Poly.
Monroe has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Poly, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 10-16 record this season.
Monroe was taken down by the Parrots 69-31 in their previous matchup back in January. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Monroe was down 40-10.
