On Wednesday, things could have been worse for Ridgeview College Prep, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 55-38 loss to ASU Prep Poly. Ridgeview College Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
ASU Prep Poly's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aidan Collins, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. Collins has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Collins, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Ridgeview College Prep's defeat was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 8-5. As for ASU Prep Poly, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeview College Prep will take on El Dorado at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for ASU Prep Poly, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Sequoia Charter at 6:00 p.m. Sequoia Charter will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings (they are ranked 241st, while ASU Prep Poly is ranked 113th).
