The Banks County Leopards stacked a 14th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 69-34 victory over Athens Academy at home. Banks County is really starting to get used to good results now that the team's won 13 straight.
Banks County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Reese Murphy led the charge by scoring 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Murphy has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Addison Hoard, who scored 12 points along with six assists and three steals.
Banks County is on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-4 record this season. As for Athens Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.
