Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Fairdale

Fairdale entered their tilt with North Bullitt on Friday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They walked away with an 84-77 win over the North Bullitt Eagles. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 35th, while the Eagles are ranked 106th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Fairdale to victory were Kamari Roberts and Ferlandas Wright. Roberts went 5 for 7 on his way to 20 points and four steals, while Wright dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 boards. Roberts is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Sean Malone, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 11 points.

Fairdale has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for North Bullitt, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Fairdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 85-36 victory against Murray on the 4th. As for North Bullitt, they will square off against Christian Educational Consortium at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Christian Educational Consortium is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.9 points per game this season.
