Even though the Cuba Wildcats scored an imposing 66 points on Monday, the Vienna Eagles still came out on top. Vienna came out on top in a nail-biter against Cuba and snuck past 68-66. This was payback for Vienna, who suffered a 69-48 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Cash Stricklan was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Elias Miller, who scored 21 points.
Vienna's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Cuba, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Bourbon the next time they take the court. Vienna will host Bourbon on Tuesday, while Cuba will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
