The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wayne Valley, who took down 32nd ranked Wayne Valley, 32-13.
Paramus extended the longest winning streak in Big North - Colonial this week by beating the Indians, 32-13. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Spartans.
Anthony Biondi was the best wideout in the league this week as Wayne Valley fell to Paramus. Biondi racked up five receptions for 61 yards. Christian Gilberti helped Wayne Valley's passing attack out by catching two balls for 20 yards.
Justin DeGroat put up the best numbers through the air as Wayne Hills lost to Pascack Valley. He finished with four completions for 88 yards and three touchdowns. DeGroat's favorite target this week was Kyle Huntzinger, who caught one pass for 49 yards.
Luke Primerano provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Indians fell to Dan Sabella's team. He completed 10 passes for 105 yards and also ran for 135 yards.
Bobby Brown was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 179 yards as Northern Highlands fell to the Spartans. Teammate Rob Hinchen added to the ground attack by rushing for 102 yards.
Holden Rosen-grupp made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Highlanders topped Teaneck. The 5-foot-11 junior pulled down one interception.
6-foot-0 quarterback Elijah Bethea of the Highwaymen is the league leader in passing yards this season with 825. He has also thrown five touchdowns. On the ground, Northern Highlands' Brown has rushed for 759 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Biondi. The Wayne Valley star has 15 catches for 336 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Chris Locurto's team takes on the Indians. At the moment, the Highlanders are in fourth, while Wayne Valley is in first.
Paramus moved up to 93 from 127 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Spartans were able to make the jump by topping the Indians 32-13.
