The Midlothian Heritage Jaguars put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 21-14 victory over Seguin. Given Midlothian Heritage's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Seguin is ranked 200th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Midlothian Heritage got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaydn O'Neal out in front who rushed for 50 yards and two touchdowns. Stetson Sarratt also helped out with an impressive 93 receiving yards.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Midlothian Heritage's defense and their 5.5 sacks. Leading the way was Temerrick Johnson and his three sacks.
Midlothian Heritage pushed their record up to 10-0 with that victory, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.0 points per game. As for Seguin, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Midlothian Heritage will be playing in front of their home fans against Everman on Friday. As for Seguin, they will head out on the road to face off against Burleson at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
