Joshua Handy of Tennyson ran for the longest rushing play in West Alameda County - Shoreline this season against Miramonte last week. Handy scampered for 71 yards on the play and finished with 124 on the day as his team lost to the Matadors.
Piedmont scaled the state rankings by moving to 682 from 730 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Highlanders climbed the ranks as a result of besting Moreau Catholic 54-50.
Mt. Eden's Jonathan Sturholm and Dominic Williams have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-9 quarterback Sturholm has thrown for 2,491 yards this season, while Williams has 57 catches for 938 yards. Isaiah Rogers from Tennyson leads the league in rushing with 1,023 yards.
So far this year, he has garnered 57 catches for 938 yards.
San Lorenzo fell to Clayton Valley Charter 62-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
