Kurt Bambauer and Nate Krigbaum provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Jewell. The longest such play in 2B Pacific this season, the connection resulted in 55 yards.
Willapa Valley extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating North Beach, 47-16. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Vikings.
Ocosta's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Bambauer threw for 147 and one touchdown and JJ Wahl had 88 yards receiving. On the ground Krigbaum chipped in 246 yards. Alex Herrera helped Ocosta's passing attack out by catching one ball for 31 yards.
Krigbaum made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Wildcats topped the Bluejays. The 5-foot-10 senior grabbed 1.0 sack.
Willapa Valley's Matt Konigsberger and Drew Pearson have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Konigsberger has thrown for 343 yards this season, while Pearson, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has nine catches for 146 yards. Ocosta's Krigbaum leads the league in rushing yards with 549.
A big matchup in 2B Pacific this week will be when Naselle takes on Raymond. The Comets are in second place, while the Gulls are in third place.
