The Armstrong Wildcats came into Tuesday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They enjoyed a cozy 59-44 win over Atlee on Tuesday. The win was just what Armstrong needed coming off of a 89-22 loss in their prior match.
Cherish Daily continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Armstrong's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Toni Goodwin, who scored 11 points.
The win got Armstrong back to even at 7-7. As for Atlee, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Armstrong will take on the Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Varina is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. As for Atlee, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. Hanover will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
