I-70 recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in I-70 this week, Crest Ridge beat Sweet Springs 12-0. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Cougars.
Concordia led the league in scoring this week by notching 72 points on Windsor.
Lone Jack's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Joey Brandon threw for 21 yards and Jake Hopper had 14 yards receiving. On the ground Justin Moore chipped in 168 yards.
The Mules' dynamic duo of Brandon and Hopper proved to be unstoppable against Orrick, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Thanks to the talents of Ethan Matthews and Justin Donald, Crest Ridge has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Matthews is tops in the league in passing with 787 yards, while Donald has rushed for 1,009 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is the Greyhounds' Nathan Vogelsmeier, with 489 yards on 16 catches.
Brandon of the Lone Jack is only 51 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 133 carries Brandon has accumulated 949 yard this year.
