The South Lakes Seahawks will venture away from home to square off against the South County Stallions at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. South Lakes will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
South Lakes is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since June 4, 2024 on Wednesday. They skirted past Oakton 5-3.

Gracie De La Cruz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Meagan Maguire was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Lindsey Poole was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
South Lakes hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, South County's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They came up short against Lake Braddock, falling 17-6.
Ava Abromavage was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Oksana Rodriguez, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two runs.
South Lakes' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.5 runs on average over those games. As for South County, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-3.
South County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: South Lakes has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11 hits per game. It's a different story for South County, though, as they've been averaging 8.7 hits. Given South Lakes' sizable advantage in that area, the Stallions will need to find a way to close that gap.
South Lakes took their victory against South County when the teams last played back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 10-3 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Seahawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
