Basketball Recap: Berean Baptist Academy Skates Past the O'neal School with Ease

Berean Baptist Academy was handed a heart-breaking two-point defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against The O'Neal School on Tuesday. The Berean Baptist Academy Bulldogs breezed by The O'Neal School Falcons to the tune of 71-17. The Bulldogs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 20 points or more this season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Berean Baptist Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Justin Caldwell, who went 11 of 16 on his way to 24 points and three steals. The contest was Caldwell's 11th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Sanders, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.

Berean Baptist Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in January of 2024.

With the win, Berean Baptist Academy broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 12-9. As for The O'Neal School, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berean Baptist Academy will challenge Grace Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for The O'Neal School, they will face off against Village Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
