The NOVA HomeSchool Lions will head out on the road to take on the Bishop McNamara Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. NOVA HomeSchool is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.
NOVA HomeSchool let Fredericksburg V stack five runs on them in the fifth inning on Tuesday but luckily NOVA HomeSchool prevailed anyway. The Lions came out on top against the Victory by a score of 10-6. The win continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Victory: they've now won five in a row.

Camden Showers was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Richard Leed, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Bruno Fullinwider, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
NOVA HomeSchool kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 9.8.
Meanwhile, Bishop McNamara was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Gonzaga.
Tre Sheperd was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Willis Coppedge was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Bishop McNamara's loss dropped their record down to 2-10-1. As for NOVA HomeSchool, their record is now 12-6.
Bishop McNamara's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: NOVA HomeSchool has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .450.
