No. 14
Legacy Early College (Greenville, S.C.) bolstered
its roster in the offseason with the addition of five-star guard Bryce McGowens, a Wren (Piedmont, S.C.) transfer who averaged 25.4 points, 6.3 rebounds and
3.2 assists last season.
McGowens is now the cornerstone while Jason Baker is expected to compete for a starting role and 6-foot-7 wing Kidd Brizek provides important
depth.
Returners Ike Cornish, TyRek
Priestley, Perry Smith Jr. and Jacobi Wright all will see increased
roles after the Lions graduated three of their top six scorers.
B.J. Jackson's squad finished
22-10 in 2019-20, but his underclassmen gained experience against
a challenging national schedule.
Legacy
Early College again faces a grueling national schedule this year,
competing in the newly formed National
Interscholastic Basketball League, which features powerhouse national
programs including Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (Chattanooga,
Tenn.), La Lumiere (La Porte, Ind.), Montverde Academy (Montverde,
Fla.), Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), Sunrise Christian
Academy (Bel Aire, Kan.) and Wasatch Academy (Mt. Pleasant, Utah).
