Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 37-26 hit to the loss column at the hands of School of the Woods on Friday.
Savannah Phan continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for School of the Woods, scoring 25 points. The match was Phan's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Maria Romero, who scored four points along with six steals.
Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for School of the Woods, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Harmony School of Innovation Sugar Land will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bob Hope at 5:30 p.m. on January 23, 2024. As for School of the Woods, they will head out on the road to face off against Varsity Opponent at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Varsity Opponent has now lost 11 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12.
