Bethel Christian Academy's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crusaders.
Despite the loss, the saw an underclassman step up: Will Jones dropped a double-double on 22 points and 11 rebounds. Jones scored a full 48.9% of the 's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Levi Thomas was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 18 rebounds.
The 's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for the Crusaders, their victory bumped their record up to 5-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethel Christian Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on December 5th. As for Bethel Christian Academy, they will challenge Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy is ranked 222nd, while Bethel Christian Academy is ranked 201st).
