Basketball Recap: St. Francis Find Success

If Galloway wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played St. Francis, they should've done a better job of containing Reynolds Escher. Everything went the St. Francis Knights' way against the Galloway Scots on Tuesday as the St. Francis Knights made off with an 86-65 victory thanks in part to Escher, who dropped a triple-double on 26 points, ten rebounds, and ten assists. The matchup was his eighth in a row with at least ten points.

Charlie Tummings was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds. He is becoming a predictor of St. Francis' success: when he posts at least eight boards the team is 2-1 (and 2-3 when he doesn't).

The win got St. Francis back to even at 4-4. As for Galloway, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Francis will face off against Atlanta International at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. St. Francis knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Atlanta International likes a good challenge. As for Galloway, they will challenge Walker at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Walker is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.1 points per game this season.
