The Paxton Bobcats won the last time they faced the Laurel Hill Hoboes, and things went their way on Thursday too. Paxton strolled past Laurel Hill with points to spare, taking the game 57-39. Given Paxton's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 144th, while Laurel Hill is ranked 292nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Among those leading the charge was Lexie Nagy, who scored ten points. Alyssa Falk was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Paxton and bumps their season record up to 13-3. As for Laurel Hill, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-4.
Paxton will head out on the road to face off against Bethlehem at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Laurel Hill, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome East Hill Christian at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th.
