The Bluestem Lions will head out on the road to challenge the Erie Red Devils on Friday. Bluestem will be strutting in after a victory while the Red Devils will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Bluestem narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Bullpups 46-43.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 65-32, which was the final score in Erie's tilt against the Chargers on Tuesday. Erie was down 52-28 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Despite the defeat, Erie got a solid performance out of Alexandra Pasquarelli, who scored 14 points.
Bluestem is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season. As for Erie, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Bluestem strolled past the Red Devils when the teams last played back in February of 2023 by a score of 48-31. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bluestem since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
