Basketball Recap: Snow Hill Skates Past Pocomoke with Ease

Snow Hill extended their postseason success on Monday against Pocomoke. They blew past the Pocomoke Warriors 74-41. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 games by 20 points or more this season.

Defeat or not, Pocomoke got some senior leadership from Maddie Esham and Alayah Thornton. Esham posted 19 points, while Thornton earned ten points in addition to six assists and four steals. That's the most points Esham has posted since back in December of 2024.

The win (which was Snow Hill's fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-8. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.3 points on average over those games. As for Pocomoke, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.

Looking ahead, Snow Hill will face off against Cambridge-South Dorchester on Wednesday. Snow Hill has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games. Pocomoke does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
