In what's become a running theme this season, the Southwest Leadership Academy Rams gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They breezed by South Ridge at home to the tune of 71-40. The high-flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Southwest Leadership Academy considering their two-point performance the game before.
Southwest Leadership Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ayden Gonzales out in front who scored 13 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Gonzales is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last 12 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Raja Williams, who scored 16 points along with three steals.
The victory made it two in a row for Southwest Leadership Academy and bumps their season record up to 16-5. As for South Ridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.
Southwest Leadership Academy will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Ridgeview College Prep at 6:00 p.m. Ridgeview College Prep is coming into the game with four straight defeats on the road, meaning Southwest Leadership Academy will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. South Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
