Hudson is 2-7 against River Ridge since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Hudson Cobras will look to defend their home field against the River Ridge Royal Knights at 7:00 p.m. Hudson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Hudson needed a bit of extra time to put away Anclote. They walked away with a 15-10 win over the Sharks. The victory continues a trend for the Cobras in their matchups with the Sharks: they've now won six in a row.

Caden Gillespie was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ryder Tysko, who went 2-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Hudson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, River Ridge had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Springstead on Thursday as River Ridge made off with an 8-1 win. Considering the Royal Knights have won three games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Hagen Conner made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. Conner was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other pitching news, Evan Handelong looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on Cameron Kessell, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Tommy DeLoreto was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.
Hudson's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for River Ridge, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Hudson has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like River Ridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging 9.2 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Hudson's way against River Ridge when the teams last played back in March of 2023, as Hudson made off with a 13-3 victory. Does Hudson have another victory up their sleeve, or will River Ridge turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
