Football Recap: Seneca Piles Up the Points Against Woodmont

Seneca won the last time they faced Woodmont and things went their way on Friday too. The Bobcats blew past the Wildcats 49-7. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-7.

Seneca got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gavin Thoma out in front who threw for 317 yards and five TDs while completing 94.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Thoma a new career-high in passer rating (172.7). Amari Verner handled things on the ground, rushing for 163 yards and two rushing touchdowns.

Seneca has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seneca will venture away from home to challenge West-Oak at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodmont, they will head out to square off against Pendleton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
