Fernandez scored a full 38.9% of Mountain View Christian's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ariadna Carranza Hernandez, who scored five points.
Mountain View Christian bumped their record down to 0-5 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.1 points per game. As for Sandy Valley, their win ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-3.
