Karsten Swinney was his usual excellent self, putting up 30 points and three steals. His evening made it 15 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Cristian Sias, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 18 boards.
Meanwhile, Trinity Christian can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They put the hurt on Oak City Prep with a sharp 71-47 win. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.
Trinity Christian's win came from a few key players Freedom Christian Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Logan Stafford, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Baganley Donzo, who went 6 for 8 en route to 13 points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks.
Trinity Christian was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.
Trinity Christian's victory bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Freedom Christian Academy, they are also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Freedom Christian Academy has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 34.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Trinity Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 32 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
