The Muhlenberg Muhls''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 49-0 defeat at the hands of Conestoga Valley. While losing is never fun, Muhlenberg can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 465th, while Conestoga Valley is ranked 107th).
It was another big night for Jayden Johnson, who rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries, and also caught a touchdown. Isaiah Sensenig made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Muhlenberg's loss was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 2.5 points per game. As for Conestoga Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season.
Muhlenberg does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Conestoga Valley will look to defend their home field on Friday against Dover at 7:00 p.m. Dover is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
