The Bridge to Independence Wildcats just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the North Kissimmee Christian Lions at 6:00 p.m. on January 16th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
On Monday, Bridge to Independence was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 65-61 to Spruce Creek. Bridge to Independence has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Jvarius Gibson, who scored 21 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaydan Jeantinord, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, North Kissimmee Christian came tearing into Friday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 38.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They managed a 67-61 win over Celebration.
Bridge to Independence has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for North Kissimmee Christian, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-4.
