The Yosemite Badgers''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 48-12 defeat at the hands of Fowler. Yosemite lost against Fowler in their previous head to head back in October of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 42-7 score last time.
Jerod Bubba Smith was the offensive standout of the match as he threw for 245 yards and four touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.
Fowler's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Edy Munoz-Rivas and his two sacks.
Yosemite's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Fowler, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Yosemite will be playing at home against Minarets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Minarets will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Fowler, they will head out on the road to face off against Caruthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Caruthers has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 355 points over their last seven matchups.
