It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Friendship Christian Commanders had no problem doing just that on Friday. They breezed by Fayette Academy at home to the tune of 42-14. Considering Friendship Christian has won eight games by more than 20 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Tyson Wolcott continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 131 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. Wolcott is absolutely dominating the rushing yard category: he's posted at least 100 every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Channing Anthony, who rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Fayette Academy had strong showings from Wyatt Morris, who rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown, and J brady Orr, who picked up 18 receiving yards and a touchdown.
The victory (which was Friendship Christian's third in a row) raised their record to 9-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 37 points. As for Fayette Academy, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Friendship Christian will stay at home for another week and welcome Donelson Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Fayette Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
