Eastern Hancock is a perfect 6-0 against Monroe Central since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Royals will be playing in front of their home fans against the Golden Bears at 5:30 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Eastern Hancock has three straight wins, Monroe Central has 14 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Wednesday, Eastern Hancock needed a bit of extra time to put away Northeastern. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over the Knights. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Royals have posted against the Knights since April 25, 2017.

Chyan Evans and Addisyn Trackwell did most of the damage at the plate: Evans went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Trackwell went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Trackwell is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played.
Eastern Hancock hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Meanwhile, Monroe Central came up short against Delta on Wednesday, falling 15-3.
Monroe Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kloe Brannon, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
Eastern Hancock pushed their record up to 7-6 with the victory, which was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Monroe Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.
Monroe Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Eastern Hancock has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .434. It's a different story for Monroe Central, though, as they've only averaged .266. Will they be able to contain Eastern Hancock's hitters?
