Everett is 1-9 against DeWitt since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Everett Vikings will be playing in front of their home fans against the DeWitt Panthers at 7:00 p.m. The timing isn't great for Everett: they have been struggling with 11 straight losses at home dating back to last season, while DeWitt has snatched up 11 consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season.
Last Thursday, Everett had to suffer through a rough 64-12 loss at the hands of Holt. While losing is never fun, Everett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 612th, while Holt is ranked 68th).
Meanwhile, DeWitt didn't have too much trouble with Okemos at home on Tuesday as they won 52-35. 52 seems to be a good number for DeWitt as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Everett's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for DeWitt, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.
Everett was able to grind out a solid win over DeWitt in their previous meeting back in January, winning 60-51. Will Everett repeat their success, or does DeWitt have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
