The Nation Ford Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Fort Mill Yellow Jackets at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Tuesday, Nation Ford was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 70-65 to Spring Valley. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (63), Nation Ford still had to take the loss.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Caden Giles, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. He hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Burnham, who scored 21 points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, Fort Mill earned a 64-52 win over Clover on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Fort Mill.
Fort Mill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Parker, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. AJ Washington was another key contributor, scoring 19 points.
Nation Ford's loss dropped their record down to 12-12. As for Fort Mill, their victory bumped their record up to 15-10.
Nation Ford didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Fort Mill in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 68-62 victory.
