West Monroe won against Ouachita Christian on Friday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. West Monroe didn't even let the Ouachita Parish Lions on the board, marking West Monroe's second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Rebels might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Garrett Frye looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave him a new career-low.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Sheppard Brown, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Starr, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

West Monroe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive matches.

West Monroe's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-5-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Ouachita Parish, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

Coming up, West Monroe will square off against Pineville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ouachita Parish, they will take on Lakeside at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
