The Waukegan Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-33 walloping at the hands of Warren Township. While losing is never fun, Waukegan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 433rd, while Warren Township is ranked 133rd).
Waukegan lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hadassah Brown, who scored 14 points. Aaliaya Cade was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Waukegan has not been sharp recently as the team's lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-20 record this season. As for Warren Township, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-12.
Waukegan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Warren Township, they will head out on the road to square off against Grant Community at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Grant Community is coming into the game with three straight wins at home, meaning Warren Township will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory.
