The Clawson Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 16th straight defeat. They took a 50-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Center Line. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Clawson in their matchups with Center Line: they've now lost nine in a row.
Terez Holmes was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds for Center Line. Holmes is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Kameron Brougthon, who scored 11 points.
Clawson's defeat was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Center Line, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-2.
Clawson will head out on the road to face off against Bloomfield Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Center Line, they will challenge Hazel Park at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Center Line is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.3 points per game this season.
