Pocono Mountain West extended their losing streak to three on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 3-11 in the process. They lost 13-3 to the Pleasant Valley Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-3 on April 1st.
Pocono Mountain West saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Straub, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one double. Ana Yuter also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
As for Pleasant Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 10-6. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by seven runs or more this season.
On Pleasant Valley's side, Kailyn Getz was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Getz was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Jovie Valenzuela was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Emma DePalma, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
