The Glennallen Panthers were the 36-29 winner over the Seward Seahawks when they last played one another back in February of 2017, but their luck changed this time around. Glennallen fell 43-31 to Seward on Saturday.
Glennallen's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Cheyenne Fields, who scored 12 points, and Teagan Rude who scored ten points. The contest was Fields' third in a row with at least ten points.
Glennallen has fallen quite a ways from their 21-8 record last season and are now at 1-2. As for Seward, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glennallen will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Ninilchik at 5:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Seward and Nikiski will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024 without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
