Highland Tech strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Everything went their way against the Central Academy of Technology & Arts Cougars as they made off with a 49-23 victory. While the Rams didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Highland Tech's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Savannah Butler, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Butler a new career-high in field goal percentage (63%). Lily Johnson was another key player, going 7-for-12 to rack up 16 points in addition to seven assists and three steals.

Highland Tech smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 16 offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Highland Tech's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Central Academy of Technology & Arts, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
