The Madison Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Castlewood Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Madison comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Thursday, Madison took a serious blow against Lennox, falling 60-15. While losing is never fun, Madison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 43rd, while Lennox is ranked sixth).
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Madison struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Castlewood's 18-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Arlington on Thursday. Castlewood has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Madison's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Castlewood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
Madison was taken down by Castlewood 68-41 in their previous meeting back in December of 2019. Can Madison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
