Softball Recap: Greendale's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Greendale's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Waukesha South Blackshirts by a score of 13-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Panthers considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Abby Brinkman was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high. Noeli Schutten also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Greendale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win snapped Greendale's losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-7 record. As for Waukesha South, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Greendale will host Racine Horlick at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Waukesha South, they will square off against Racine Case at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blackshirts are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
