Basketball Recap: Atlantic County Institute of Tech Sets Scoring Season-High Against the Pilgrim Academy

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Atlantic County Institute of Tech). They were the clear victor by a 77-53 margin over The Pilgrim Academy Pioneers on Thursday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded Atlantic County Institute of Tech with their most commanding win of the season.

The Pilgrim Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jared McGonagle, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 13 boards. Those 19 points gave McGonagle a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mason Parmer, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals.

The victory made it two in a row for Atlantic County Institute of Tech and bumps their season record up to 8-12. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.0 points over those games. As for The Pilgrim Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-13.
