With a playoff game on the line, the Randolph Ro-Hawks rose to the challenge on Thursday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 49-0 victory over Crystal City. Given Randolph's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 383rd, while Crystal City is ranked 960th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Randolph got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Cody Howard out in front who rushed for 38 yards and two touchdowns. Collin Stucki was another key contributor, throwing for 119 yards and two touchdowns on only four passes.
The victory makes it two in a row for Randolph and bumps their season record up to 10-1. As for Crystal City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-9.
Randolph will head out on the road to face off against Industrial at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. One thing working in Industrial's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last six games. Crystal City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
