Elk Rapids waltzed into their matchup on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Boyne City Ramblers get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory. The Elks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by eight runs or more this season.

Elk Rapids' win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Boyne City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Elk Rapids is set to square off against their familiar foe Harbor Springs at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Boyne City will face off against rival Kalkaska at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
