Lakeshore's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 67-58 victory over Salmen. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lakeshore's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Owen Guth, who scored 28 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Guth has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Caiden Bickham, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Lakeshore's victory bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Salmen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-14.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeshore will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Live Oak at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. Live Oak is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Salmen, they will head out on the road to take on Ponchatoula at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Ponchatoula will be looking to keep their 11-game home win streak alive.
