The Florence Eagles will head out on the road to take on the Brookhaven Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the pair will really light up the scoreboard.
Florence entered their tilt with the Jaguars with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Florence took down the Jaguars 68-49 on Tuesday. Given Florence's advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Jaguars are ranked 227th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Jaylen Haliburton and Kordell Collins were among the main playmakers for Brookhaven as the former scored 14 points along with eight steals and the latter almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Florence couldn't quite finish off the Panthers in their previous meeting two weeks ago and fell 69-66. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Haliburton, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Now that Florence knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
