Southwest scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 72-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Aledo Bearcats. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (60), the Raiders still had to take the loss.

Southwest has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season. As for Aledo, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-1.

Southwest won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Odessa at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Aledo, they will be taking part in a tournament against North Central Texas Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday.
