The Vinemont Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Hanceville 60-26 at home. The win was just what Vinemont needed coming off of a 71-23 loss in their prior game.
Vinemont was led to victory by Caroline Miller and Reagan Robinson. Miller scored 20 points, while Robinson scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Whitney Quick, who scored six points along with five steals.
Vinemont's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for Hanceville, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vinemont will take on Cold Springs at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Cold Springs presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Vinemont in Alabama (Cold Springs is ranked 21st, while Vinemont is ranked 106th). As for Hanceville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ashville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
