Last Thursday, Crimson Cliffs came up short against Pine View and fell 53-44. Crimson Cliffs has not had much luck with Pine View recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Loss or not, Crimson Cliffs got some senior leadership from Summer Adams and Kinsey Plewe. Adams scored 16 points along with seven rebounds and three steals, while Plewe. scored ten points along with four steals. Plewe has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.
Dixie suffered their closest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They fell just short of Cedar by a score of 53-50.
Kealah Faumuina put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 15 points along with nine rebounds and seven blocks. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games she's played. Hali Smith was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven steals and five rebounds.
Crimson Cliffs has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season. As for Dixie, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Crimson Cliffs have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 28.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Dixie struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.5 rebounds per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
